The FCC is warning companies — generally speaking, hotels and convention centers and the like — not to block or jam Wi-Fi signals other than the ones they are so conveniently offering up at extortionate rates. While there were a lot of high-tech companies pushing for this stand from the FCC, it's still refreshing to see a ruling that actually benefits ordinary travelers.
