+jerry herrish Yes, clearly a fiendish plot by Obama to take advantage of the greatest and longest economic downturn in the US since the Great Depression to funnel people onto food stamps and prevent employers from offering permanent, high-paying jobs. And he managed to do so even though the opposition party did everything they could to block any economic action he took. Fiendish, I tell you.
Once the GOP comes up with a full employment plan that's something other than "repeal all taxes and repeal Obamacare and then all the rich people who have vanished will reappear and give us all jobs," we can discuss economics.

Regardless, my point is that government is not a business, and the measure of its success is not whether it is not a positive margin or cutting overhead, let alone setting it up for a quick turn-around profit, which is what the "business mind" of Mitt Romney was trained for.
I would want a good business making a profit ( surplus ) not being in debt … Our politicians believe that being in debt is OK and the norm … Our social programs are way out of control a little austerity would help ! Nopain no gain ?? People are very concern about this .

The ACA is an kludgy restructuring and regulation of the traditional health insurance business in the US, along the lines supported by GOP pols and think tanks well before Obama ever came along; it's primary benefit is that it stands to be far more equitable and effective in getting health insurance, thus health care, to a larger proportion of the American public.
Romney's "understanding of surpluses and debts" is focused on getting people to invest in something to their own profit, or to bolster the apparent value of companies before selling them off. Neither of those seems particularly applicable to the US government.
The federal government deficit under Obama, even allowing for critical (but too-throttled) government spending in the face of the largest economic downturn since the Great Depression (which, in turn, seriously hampered federal tax income) does not seem out of keeping with any number of other presidents we've had in the last fifty years.
So tell me specifically about the "undue economic and moral pain" they have inflicted. Also about their "control by tyranny."

That is, in fact, the nature of a national insurance pool, and it represents costs for the uninsured that taxpayers or insurance policy holders have been paying, invisibly, for decades.
