Superman's costume is getting more tweaks, after the Jim Lee redesign for the New52 (ugh) books a few years back. This time it appears they are pulling in design elements from the upcoming Batman v Superman movie, which makes sense on a PR level, but that's about all.
And still with the piping/seams, and a high-ish collar, and more piping.

Superman’s New Costume Revealed
For months now, there have been rumors that Superman’s costume would experience some tweaks coming […]
Not sure what's up with the gloves(?)/fingerhole sleeves, but….meh….
Because a guy with invulnerable skin who punches things a lot needs finger gloves. Perhaps it's just a style thing, but …
How does Supes get garbed in the Nu52? I've lost track.
(Also, how does piping work across skin-tight (look at those ribs and abs) clothing?)
I've grown used to the piping. Still don't like it but it doesn't bug me as much as it used to. Those weird glove things have got to go, though.
+Marty Shaw I think the piping, lighting effects, and mandarin collars would have been more easily accepted (by me, at least) if we didn't see them instituted simultaneously for all the major DC heroes (except Wonder Woman, oddly enough).
+Dave Hill Sort of reminds me of the "Liefeld Pouches" phenomenon of the 90s.
+Mark Means Yes. On bandoleers, on arm bands, on thigh bands, on belts (well, on belts it almost makes sense).
Could it be flat-lock stitching rather than piping?
