I'll try to avoid any specific spoilers here (no promises about the comments), but I was generally pleased by the "Agent Carter" wrap-up. Most of the dangling plotlines were resolved (with a few left dangling just to tempt one for another season), most of the character arcs were advanced to a reasonable resting point, and there was a spiffy little twist at the end to tie the whole thing even closer to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
To be honest, I'm going to miss the adventures of Peggy Carter more than I'm anticipating the adventures of the modern Agents of SHIELD. I'm certainly looking forward to the contemporary team's return, but "Agent Carter" has been simpler and more fun than the more tangled mess the more complex cast has gotten into in MAoS.
Ratings for "Agent Carter" were apparently not all that great, so there's a good chance we won't see her return. I hope we do, though.

A shame its ratings weren't higher. I enjoyed it more than Agents of Shield. If there was any complaint I could level at the series it was that Carter was generally only competent by comparison to bumbling co-workers. The ep where she hooked up with the Howling Commandos helped in this regard though. Each of them was competent in their own right and their acting in concert with Carter the way they did made her shine that much more.
Loved the show, it was way better than M:AoS. One of the things I loved the most were the little touches like the Automat and the line in the last show about "a phone in every room". Such a great little touch from a time when that would have been completely unheard of (not even Hearst).

+Stan Pedzick I do like the "short form" — it's grown on me as a UK style of thing, and I wouldn't mind seeing Peggy return in such a format. (It also theoretically allows an actor to appear in more than one series at a time.)

whoa, i'm shocked to find out the ratings weren't that great. The show started off with a bang, and did tend to fizzle out towards the end, but still finished strong.
This show definitely was better than the 2 seasons of MAOS in my opinion. I'm sorta heart broken to find out, it might not return.

I'm a bigger fan of Agents of SHIELD than most, and I agree that Agent Carter was superior. And that final scene could only be there as a set-up for a second series. It would be a shame if it never panned out.
I would like to see enough seasons for the agency to become SHIELD, with Peggy running it.
My favorite period element? The radio show, natch. I'm a big fan of OTR (Old Time Radio, for those not already aficionados). I'd like to hear more of the exploits of Cap and "Betty Carver." 🙂

Yes, I've enjoyed this show so much that I've stopped watching Agents of SHIELD. It would be a shame if show is not renewed. If so, I'm hoping the show is picked up by streaming service like Netflix or Hulu Plus.

In the blurb for next week's show, TV Guide called SHIELD "this season's most improved show."
I also enjoyed the finale, it tied things up nicely. Enjoyable mini-series! Was nice to see Hayley Altwell every week for 8 weeks 🙂
It's weird but you know what the best part of the show was for me? That Jarvis was an actual person. I don't know why I appreciated that so much.

+Scott Randel MAoS improved dramatically about 2/3 of the way through S.1; I'm not sure S.2 has been an improvement on that, though I'm still enjoying it.

I love the show. Think it's funny that the SSR is there to protect against the USSR (among others)… Probably why they changed the name…
+Dave Hill yea it's not, I definitely looked. Lol. But it was nice to see where Tony's Jarvis came from. I always wondered about that cuz in the early comics Jarvis was an actual butler kinda like Alfred. So I think that's why I was happy to see him.
+BiG WaDe Last I checked, Jarvis is still a real person in the Avengers comics, fixing coffee and sandwiches whenever anyone's at whatever's serving as Avengers HQ.
Making him an AI assistant for Tony in the MCU was very clever; having him be the actual butler Tony grew up with (presumably) is even more clever.
