I've been doing this for the last year or so; it's an easy and unobtrusive way to earn a few cents here or there for my occasional Google Play purchases (usually to upgrade something from the free version).
Or, as the official plug says:
Earn Google Play credit by answering short surveys. Download Google Opinion Rewards now: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.paidtasks
Google Opinion Rewards
Answer quick surveys and earn Google Play credits with Google Opinion Rewar…
All the apps I've paid for, I've paid for using money I made using Opinion Rewards.
The other day I was asked what year it was. Got $0.11 for it! 😛
I've earned about $20 total so far. It's great!
I'm up to over $38 earned.
I take online surveys from a company that gives me Game Stop gift cards. I usually get $25 per quarter. (Oddly, you have to earn $75 to get a $25 gift card.)
I need to actually start spending my rewards. I'm sitting on about $20, and that's after a couple of rentals.
+Clinton Hammond I basically haven't paid anything for stuff out of the Play store since I started this. I don't buy a lot from there, to be honest, but answering surveys two or three times a week eventually adds up.
+Derik DaSilva The pricing for the surveys sometimes surpasseth all understanding.
2 or 3 a week??? I wish I got half that many

I've made at least two dollars for going to Subway at lunch. They keep asking…
I upgraded a few apps, bought a book, it's been great knowing that I don't have to use my money and can still support apps I enjoy with an upgrade.
And…another 72c for eating at subway. So weird…
