"Ant-Man" and avoiding spoliers, sweetie

I have to day, I was pleasantly surprised by being pleasantly surprised by a number of scenes in Ant-Man that could/should have been spoiler-bait. I didn't exactly live under a rock for the last six months, but, aside from the intial movie trailer, have pretty much avoided as possible clicking through to any news about the movie. That tactic, shockingly enough, worked pretty well.

Of course, I also went out and saw it opening night, so that helped a lot, too, but I'm pretty certain that some of the bigger gotchas were out in the open before the movie dropped, so being able to avoid them and get the impact in the film itself was … nice. I mean, that Cassie was really an LMD placed by Hydra to blackmail Scott Lang into stealing the Ant-Man suit from Janet Van Dyne's grave came as a complete shock … and I'm glad it was.
