COL emergencies happen fairly regularly around our household.
Fortunately or unfortunately, I'm rarely the one so pinned down.

I always just stood up and let the cat fend for itself. They're fairly self-sufficient, you know.
Thankfully I'm usually the one with COL.
We only have the one cat, so if one of us is pinned down, the other one can get up and make a move toward the scratching post (which is where treats happen). She usually follows.
