If you can't discuss it after mass shootings because it's "too soon" … then it's difficult to find a time to discuss it, given the frequency of mass shootings.

…and B: after Sandyhook the NRA won and unless some billionaire comes along and wants to counter the NRA to buy congresscritters there will never be gun control. One if the reasons it's no longer worth being upset, sad, or outraged about shootings, mass or otherwise since its now a feature and not a bug.
