Two billionaires with egos the sizes of major continents, who belittle (or worse) folk who disagree with them, and who exhibit fascist tendencies. What's not to love?
What's truly crazy is the idea that this might actually increase Trump's support in the US. Putin — who would just as soon see the US relegated to a second-class state — is admired in certain American conservative circles as a "tough leader," and some American evangelicals like his hyper-traditionalist suppression of gay rights and religious dissent. If he endorses Trump, then those very people who usually decry "foreign influence" in American politics might be the first to use that as an excuse to support the Donald.
Strange times indeed.
