I'm having some problems with normal Google Photos for sharing, but I do have this video of one of the Arapahoe High School Warriors "wind symphony" 's numbers from their performance at St Stephens Cathedral yesterday.
Been a great trip so far. Cooperative weather and some fun times touring Vienna. Gobs and gobs of history and cool architecture.
The cathedral looks prettier than I remember.
Back then, though, they were still cleaning a couple centuries of soot off of all surfaces.
I like this brighter, less gloomy thing.
Is the cathedral cold ?
I am from Galway in the west of Ireland and we are singing there a week from Friday. We age to rehearse there all day Friday and the concert is at 8.. that night
Do we need our thermals?
Eva Tobin. .
@Patrick…the interior looked pretty cleaned up. Gloomy, but not sooty. Exterior is still undergoing major scrubbing.
@Ava…The cathedral was not all that cold. Better than outside (and less windy). You should have no problem.
+Eva Tobin Hello Eva, as the temperatures in Vienna will not be climbing over 15 degrees on friday (and churches normally tend to cool down during wintertime), warm socks, scarves and jackets are highly recommended – we don't want you to get a cold! 🙂 Have a nice time in Vienna & best regards, Heike
Good performance. They had their wonderful sound with them. Please tell K that I am sooooo proud of her!
+Eva Tobin Hi, Eva. Sorry I didn't reply sooner — I had problems getting a comment to take under dodgy Wifi on the trip.
The temps inside the church were cool, but it was no colder than outside (mostly due to the lack of wind). If you are just sitting in place and rehearsing all day, yeah, wearing warm clothing / layers is a good idea.
