We rewatched the Tim Burton / Johnny Depp / Helena Bonham Carter adaptation of Sweeney Todd, and had a fun[1] time doing so, despite the flaws.

I've dropped this down a half-point to 3.5 of 5 stars (with a heart), as certain aspects of the production grated with me more than on original viewing.

I do enjoy this particular version, problems and all. The sense of place is very strong, in a way that a stage production has difficulty doing.
