Except that DNA evidence later exonerated them.
Except that the Donald doesn't believe in DNA evidence. The Donald knows who's guilty, and who should be punished. Or, even if they are innocent, who should be punished so as to provide an object lesson for others.
The King's Justice is sometimes swift, but always unpleasant.
