I've watched this before, but as something fresh for my daughter during Father/Daughter Movie Week, I was struck (especially in her commentary) about how difficult it is to follow along a story about an unlikable protagonist and all the mistakes she makes in her life.

3.5 stars out of 5 — plenty of spectacle, good acting, but essentially a morality play about not being a manipulative egomaniac.

Difficult to follow, even when it's in color? Or difficult to follow because 20 minutes in you are already at the point that Rhett is at in the end?
+Stan Pedzick The latter.
The Turner making of documentary, is even more entertaining then film, if you like film history. It's almost the length of the movie itself.
+Dave Hill sadly, there are a great many Oscar winners that fall into that category.
My ex liked this which was about the only reason why I watched it as a kid.
Well if you are on the classics, why not Casablanca and In The heat of the Night?
