In honor of the uninspiring Tom Cruise trailer for the current remake, we watched the marvelous Brendan Fraser flick — which remains on my "Ten Movies While Stuck on a Desert Island" list.

Four stars and a heart. Take that, Bainbridge Scholars!

I loved this one. I loved the second one so much I'm going to get Rick's Magi tattoo. 🙂
+Nerdy Girl Erin The second one tried a bit too hard, IMO, plus added a kid (which, aside from further complicating the character dynamics, made it more of a kid's adventure). Not a bad movie, but not one I feel like rewatching any time soon.
I don't disagree. I suppose it just didn't bother me as much. 😉
How do you know what the new Tom Cruise mommy would be like or how great it would be when it hasn't even been released. Tom never disappoints. You get your money's worth with his movies.
+Chi- Chi It looks like it will be a Tom Cruise movie. Those who like that sort of thing will likely find it the sort of thing they like. I didn't see anything in the trailer that thrilled me, but I'm sure it will make a zillion dollars without my help.
+Dave Hill
No Dave it needs your help, everyone counts. But, if I'm going to get my lazy butt out of my bed and go to a theater and pay a shit load of money just to watch a movie I can watch for $1.99 on Redbox, then it better be a Tom Cruise movie.
