An uninformed populace is a compliant populace

On the one hand, and on the face of it (and what a face), this is neither unexpected nor surprising. Trump, and certainly Trump's appointees, have made it clear that climate change is not something they choose to believe in, or act on, or even acknowledge.

On the other hand, it's one thing to change policy statements, it's another thing to change science — or to just erase it.

'Myron Ebell, who helped guide the EPA's transition after Trump was elected in November until he was sworn in last week, said the move was not surprising. "My guess is the web pages will be taken down, but the links and information will be available," he said.'

I'll betcha they won't. And even if the tables and databases and documents are still lurking out there on the EPA's site, how will most folk find them if the page that references them all is deleted? Especially if they get shifted to a different location, so that old links break?

And, of course, this isn't even just about an administration that has its own reality-challenged point of view. This is about kicking the climate can down the road several years (if not more), with huge human impact, if not the fate of human civilization, hanging in the balance.
