Things were kind of light yesterday — I know, travel, what a pain, right, Donald? — but the total number of tweets since last check-in seems to have gone up enough to be worth a gander. Let's see what's going on over in the other half of the world …
===
Well, you were in Poland yesterday, and you gave us a couple of tweets from your big speech there (complete with thrilling sound bite videos):
► America is proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Poland in the fight to eradicate the evils of terrorism and extremism. #POTUSinPoland . [1P]
► THE WEST WILL NEVER BE BROKEN. Our values will PREVAIL. Our people will THRIVE and our civilization will TRIUMPH! [2P]
► A strong Poland is a blessing to the nations of Europe, and a strong Europe is a blessing to the West, and to the world. [3P]
So that's all good stuff — a little CAPS LOCK heavy (makes you sound like some other European speechmakers of days gone by), but nothing too unusual.
Well, except for the odd resurgence of "the West" as a rhetorical theme, your framing of world events as a battle of "our civilization" against, well, other civilizations, etc.
Last time that sort of speechifying was going on, "the West" referred to NATO, et al., and it was directed against the USSR. I'm assuming you're lumping Russia in with the West now, so I wonder who you're intending these tweets to reference. (Are Japan and South Korea — with whose leaders you met with yesterday, part of "the West"? Do they agree with that characterization?)
All that fiery civilizational rhetoric out of the way … things started going downhill once you got onto Twitter this morning …
► My experience yesterday in Poland was a great one. Thank you to everyone, including the haters, for the great reviews of the speech! [4]
Right. "Including the haters." Any "haters" who gave you a great speech review that you want to call out, Donald?
I'll be honest, I didn't watch your Warsaw remarks, just some excerpts where you sort of kinda-sorta admitted that maybe Russia was involved in some stuff in the 2016 Election, but maybe not, "nobody really knows for sure," and probably other countries were, too, and it's been going on a long time, and you can't believe the Intelligence Community about it being Russia because they were wrong about WMDs in Iraq a decade and change ago …
Which, in and of itself, was extraordinary on so many levels, Donald.
► Everyone here is talking about why John Podesta refused to give the DNC server to the FBI and the CIA. Disgraceful! [5]
Everyone! Everyone!
Well, that's what happens when you bring it up in every conversation, Donald.
I mean, really, Donald — this doesn't even pass the laugh test.
Esp. when John Podesta — who was working on the Clinton campaign — wasn't with the DNC, and wasn't responsible for how the DNC hacked servers were handled. In fact, this tweet seems to have been triggered by a Fox News item … where he basically said exactly that [8].
So apparently everyone "there" is talking about the same misunderstanding of a Fox News item that you have, Donald. Truly a triumph of Western Civilization.
► I will represent our country well and fight for its interests! Fake News Media will never cover me accurately but who cares! We will #MAGA! [6]
If nobody cares, Donald, why do you keep bitching about it?
I mean, really. If you "represent our country well and fight for its interests," then in theory all the "Fake News Media" can't do much, right? Truth will prevail!
But if you keep yelling about the Fake News (esp. in broad generalities that, most of the time, are untrue), then it simply lends them believability, while at the same time degrading public faith in an institution so important it was mentioned and protected in the 1st Amendment to the US Constitution.
Dangerous games, Donald.
And, also, kind of nuts that you're tweeting this stuff while "representing our country" abroad.

You retweeted Mike Pence tweeting about the Voter Suppression Election Integrity Commission, quoting a Kris Kobach press release about how many states are cooperating.
► "Real news" -> 36 states have agreed or are considering providing publicly available voter data to @POTUS Election Integrity Commission. [7]
The latest and best info I can find [9], from yesterday, notes 20 states that have declined to send in any data, either on principle, concerns about privacy, or because their state doesn't allow it. That number differs from the 14 than Kobach claims (the flip side to the "36"), but it's actually broken out with supporting statements from governors and secretaries of state, so I lend it more credence.
Other states have either agreed that, welp, publicly available data can be provided to the feds (duh), but that data which is not allowed to the public, or not tracked by the state, won't be (duh), or are "still considering" (which is itself pretty darned interesting).
In any case, it's not all that big of a response, Donald, and even a lot of the states sending you info won't (or can't) send some of the identifying info (like SSN and DoB) that would allow your team to really distinguish between Joe Smith of Michigan and Joe Smith of Wisconsin to tell if they are the same nefarious registered-in-two-places fiend you're looking for. And that assumes these databases are all that clean to begin with.
There's a lot of "real news" about this, Donald, but the above isn't it.

"I can't defend Trump on this topic so let me blame Obama and Hillary."
lol…erything you said is basically a negative liberal spin analogy…so sad…CNN is hiring fyi….lmao
This just in….a delivery truck for a Russian vodka company was seen at the loading dock at Trump Tower!!!! Full coverage tonight on CNN…
Oh no, CNN brain washed another young child that doesn't know anything about politics
+Christopher Lecain dont you realize that if Trump used all caps in a tweet it means he is unhinged? Lololol
Exactly how does using all caps mean he is "unhinged"
I don't see anything wrong with that.
+Christopher Lecain Oh no, a young child who thinks a failed business man can be a politician.
+Gary Allen "Can"? More like is….as in POTUS…but def not your usual swamp scum…
+Noah Jenda so he's a swamp scum, but not an average swamp scum? Lol.
+Gary Allen Oh I get it, you used my joke because you can't, if it could save your life, be original. Like you only hate Trump because of the banwagon, never able to think for yourself
+Gary Allen he aint no choir boy…no billionaire is….and what fool would want anything other than a hard hitting speak your mind and dont care about liberal spin POTUS? Keep tweeting Prez…and sometimes misspell a word so CNN has a headline and liberal heads explode…lmmfao…
+Christopher Lecain No I don't hate Trump because of the bandwagon, he drove his whole campaign around hate and fear, and to make it worse, he said "I can stand in the middle of 5th avenue and shoot someone and I wouldn't lose any votes!" Basically calling all of you deplorable idiots sheeps. CNN lost its credibility when they blackmailed that meme guy.
+Gary Allen Grant it Trump said some outlandish things…But, to say that his "entire campaign" was built around hate is a joke…liberal bullshit…you libs simply cannot separate real seriou comments from sarcastic humor…Im from NYC…when Trump said that I cracked up laughing
+Noah Jenda Of course its liberal bullshit whenever Trump does/say something stupid. He could say "FUCK ALL OF MY SUPPORTERS." Behind close doors and you'll still kiss his ass while blaming Obama and Hillary
Let's see — comments with videos of violence (even cartoony Trumpy violence) against the media: check. People joking about "liberal butthurt" to handwave arguments they dislike: check. Blocklist extended: check.
To be fair, "everyone is talking about it" probably refers to FOX, Brietbart, InfoWars, his aides and the voices in his head.
+Gary Allen Interesting look at that CNN "blackmail" story.

+Stan Pedzick SETTING: Lounge at the US Embassy in Hamburg. Trump staffers sitting in chairs, looking at each other nervously, glancing at the clock.
ENTER THE PRESIDENT, looking grumpy over the lumpy embassy bed he had to sleep in.
AIDE #1: (Glances quickly at Aide #2) Wow, what about that … um … John Podesta!
AIDE #2: (Stares, wide-eyed) (Blurts) E-mails! (Swallows) Hacking!
AIDE #3: Yeah! I mean, those DNC servers, what was all that about?
TRUMP: You guys still talking about that?
AIDE #1: Of course! It's … um … all we talk about.
AIDE #2: Every morning!
AIDE #3: And, um, it's all over the papers! (Holds up copy of Die Zeitung) See?
TRUMP: (Squints at incomprensible German text.) Huh. (Smiles. Chuckles.) Thanks. Good job! (Pulls out phone, heads for Men's Room.)
CURTAIN
yes but why talk about politics when you can listen to David Bowie?
As long as we have a leader that folds everytime an adversary flatters him nothing of any validity will be accomplished, spooky times in America……………………..
and the whole equality thing
"Stop bashing CNN, they tell me how to think!" – Random Liberal
+josiah jenks "CNN SUXX0RZ! THEY TELL ME STUFF I DON'T LIKE TO HEAR!" – Random Conservative
There, now we have that out of the way.
well, at least we have something on both sides…this is way over Beaming
