Watched the premiere episode of the new series of Doctor Who.
Anyone who says that's not the Doctor is … of a significantly different opinion than I am.
Good stuff. Did enjoy. Tonally perfect. Felt a little rushed in places (esp. toward the end), but I'm definitely all in.
Yep. I've finally watched it and I find it good. I like the pacing, the look, the atmosphere, the people. I think I'm going to enjoy this series. And she is definitely the Doctor.

The only complaints I’ve seen is that people are having a hard time understanding the Yorkshire accents and that it’s a reboot with no connection to the past 50 years of Doctor Who.
+Stan Pedzick (1) The accents have been a challenge in DW for some time. (2) Frankly, I can do with a season that avoids the Daleks and Cybermen.
+Dave Hill yes, the modern Doctor Who has really over done the Daleks and the Cybermen, but to toss out everything is a bit extreme.
+Stan Pedzick They're not (as I understand it) tossing out everything. They're just not using anything previously seen for this season. I wouild have preferred a more moderate course, but there are certainly plenty of new things that Chibnall can introduce without harkening back to the Ood or the Weeping Angels or even the Master/Mistress. This series, at least. If it goes beyond that I'll be a bit cranky.
Finally saw the new EP. It was good, the building of the sonic screwdriver was odd, I’d still like to see them become less of a plot crutch, like under the 5th doctor. It was right on average with the Tenant introduction.
