Overall I've been pleased with how the current series of Doctor Who has gone. I'm really enjoying Jodie Whittaker's Thirteenth Doctor and her sense of wonder and compassion, and while I'd like to learn still more about the three Companions (whatever we're calling them now), I like what we have seen from them.
Chris Chibnall's show-running tenure has been more of a mixed bag. I don't completely mind leaving behind massive mysterious series-long arcs, or repeated doses of Daleks and Cybermen, but I hope the palate-cleansing of sweeping all the past to the side this series will be done by the next series. I don't need a completely new universe alongside the new Doctor. I like the current players, and hope at least some elements of the already-established stage will come back for them to play on.
I have heard theres no doctor who until 2020 ..you have special on new years day but next series 2020
+dave Production of s.13 starts in mid-early 2019, I think. I've heard the same thing, but I'm not sure I know why it would take so long. Part of it may be that Chibnall is on record saying that more than 3-4 eps a series is too many.
+Dave Hill i am looking forward go new years day special and believe the daleks will be in it .
Hope they dont shorten to only 3 or 4 episodes and really think they should have storylne Going in to the next week like they used to .
I've been watching the Dr. Since the 70's and I just don't dig a fem fa,tal as the doc.
+GODOG I've been watching the Doctor since 70s, too. And Thirteen is hardly a "femme fatale".
