Rather than the 1-2 feet of snow that was predicted, we ended up with "only" 8 inches or so down in our part of the Denver metro area. Enough to make things pretty, not enough to call for a snow day or late start from +Kay Hill's school.
No tree damage, it seems, though there were still a few that had most of their leaves on.
However, it was enough for Cherry Creek, Aurora, Douglas County, and almost every other school district to be closed or delayed.
+Kay Hill no, not every other school district, just the ones immediately to the east and south of you. Jeffco, except the mountain schools is running normal, Denver is running normal, Boulder Valley, except the mountain schools is running normal.
Have a fun day going uphill both ways in the snow. 😉
+Dave Hill you got what was predicted for your area based on all the maps +Mary Oswell and I saw over the weekend and last night.
LPSers are made of sterner (or more frozen) stuff.
+Stan Pedzick WUnderground, at least, had 12+ scheduled for yesterday, 3+ today.
I'm here at the beach in sunny California and I ran across this post, it must be nice enjoy.
We barely got enough to make the grass white, and where I work they got none at all. Pretty localized.
Vicious winds here in the Seattle area, as well as flood warnings.
+Dave Hill wow, the 5280 weather guys and channel 7 had you all in the 8" to 12" zone, which you pretty much nailed.
8″ in Southern England – Snow Day.
Dang, previews of things to come our way.
