Unblogged Bits for Fri, 9 Apr 2010, 8:01PM

Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….

  1. Bishop Blames Pedophila On Sexy Children – Damn those sexy 13-year-olds! I, myself, have been powerless to resist their … oh, wait, no, I haven’t had any problems with that. Wonder why the Bishop of Tenerife thinks this is a valid excuse for his crew (the whole “age of consent” thing aside).
  2. HTC makes a grab for Palm – Interestingly, between HTC and Lenovo, it sounds like folks are going after Palm’s IP, especially its patents. It would be nice to see Palm’s technology go to some worthy cause, but laying the groundwork for infringement suits doesn’t sound like it.
  3. 3 1/2 Minutes of Hot Losing Action – I liked the comic book well enough, and this looks like it will be a lot of fun — though it’s unfortunate that it will be going up against the similarly-themed (if more loosely framed) “A-Team.”
  4. Staircase Signs – Easiest Physical Activity Intervention. Ever. [Obesity Panacea] – I always used to take the stairs in my old office. Unfortunately, at my new one, trucking up and down 23 flights isn’t terribly practical.
  5. Is The iPad The Disneyland Of Computers? – Disneyland, or LeisureWorld, or something like that — highly planned, doing well what it does, but with little room for having a different or individual experience. I don’t see a need in my life right now for an iPad, but I can well imagine that others would feel differently. And more power to them!
