In yet another example of the ZT insanity gripping our schools, a six year old, who was so proud that he’d learned to butter his bread in the school cafeteria that he slipped the little plastic knife from there into his backpack to show his mom, has been suspended for ten days for carrying a “weapon.”
Yeesh.

I wonder if the TSA would do the same thing if you took one the airlines packaged Plasti-spork, plasti-knife, napkin packets off the plane?

I swear, there’s more and more insanity going around these days. It’s almost numbing, reading things like this, the bit about the high school in Lexington, etc.
A huge dose of reality needs to be handed down to folks.

Well I’ve serously wondered why tweezers and toenail clippers were forbidden on airplanes when any decently pointy pen could be a deadly weapon. But I never asked that question of anyone who might actually try to put that policy in place, too.
I know a guy who defended himself, successfully, with a cross pen.
