What I want to know is, why didn't we also pick up a grenade launcher, like JeffCo? _We're falling behind in the Surplus Arms Race!_
Drilling down to the source material, the "assault rifles" were a combo of 5.56mm (@$500) and 7.62mm (@$138). Some bipods and bayonets were also picked up, in case the nativfes get restless.
That MRAV was priced at $412K.
Other interesting items picked up from the Pentagon by my county included 5 "THERMOMETER, CLINICAL, HUMAN," 29 insect nets, 2 "TV, PERSONAL / HOME USE," 32 pieces of "RECREATIONAL & GYMNASTIC EQUIPMENT," and 1 "TAPE, REFLECTIVE" (@$99.61).
Think of it as a crazy garage sale.

And now that it's public, I bet JeffCo has a list of tribute demands en route to our County Commissioner as we speak…
And it doesn't look like DougCo will be much help …
