What's the point of flipping off a monkey? Is that the only way he can feel superior to it?
I think that's a baboon. I think I remember being told that baboons are more aggressive than most monkeys. What I think is interesting is that the animal recognized the aggression and responded in kind so quickly. I think that's an indicator of the cognitive prowess of the animal which most people might underestimate.

Of course, as a fellow primate, it may be behavior that doesn't need a lot of cognition to recognize.
