Lots o’ stuff:
- Velvet Jones got to run around during the big Council-bash for the Freedom Phalanx. SKed into a quartet running around in high-level (30ish) adventures amidst such fun bad’uns as Devouring Earth and Crey and Vampyri-creating installations and other spiffy stuff. Eek!
On Monday, I ended up spending a fair amount of time bopping around Velvet’s favorite hunting ground, the north end of Steel Canyon by the Boomtown gate. Good hunting, fast repops. No deaths, lots of running-out-of-endurance stuff, and enough additional XP to get within a bubble of 19. - Amorpha and Psi-clone did a lot of running about, too, including a fairly harrowing jog across Skyways. Managed to get us both up a couple of levels, including getting PC up to 14, which means …
I can fly! I can fly! I can flyyyyyy!
Ahem. Fun.
Actually, it’s a really good duo, scrapper/controller. Current favorite pair for us to go out with. - Last night, we had a special family night — dinner out and then The Incredibles DVD. Late by the time we got Kitten to bed, and our cable was acting pretty wonky (at least with Champion — I’d blame it on the server, except that the modem kept resetting, and even when we tested some stuff out on Infinity, it kept resetting there, too).
As to that test, we forgot that Triumph was the official local alternative server, but we did some test running of Mr. and Mrs. Thunderclap, the storm/katana ninja couple I mentioned a while back. Good stuff so far.
Interestingly enough, you can team on Coyote’s mission in Outbreak, but you only get XP for your mission.
I’d not have thought that you could do teamingon the training stuff. So you did it twice. Did it add more folks because there were two of you like it does on the once you get out of the training session?
Saturday: Roben did the kill Atta mish. Loooooong. Let me put it another way. the max was 8 people, some dropped, some added to replace them during the mission. It took 2 hours and 11 minutes to complete. If you have a good team and don’t die, it is a treasure trove of X.
Afterword, brought Puck on stage and did some FP stuff. started off clearing one of Puck’s Vazh missions with Zepher, P-Siren, and the Strategist.
Next was a series of crey missions starting off in Perez, then moving to Founders. Learned the hard way that what Jackie says about Ulric is true…I have the screen shot of the aftermath to prove it. It was great fun to be SK’d up to that level and being able to do missions that did not involve killing frosty. Levelled twice over the evening. Plus Jackie was being a sweety and giving me all the Enhancements that she couldn’t use.
Sunday: Made new character Cuinas Bas, A dark/dark scrapper. Much fun. Did some teaming with you guys.
Monday: First Roben was brought in as the one tank on The kill Dr. Vazh mission SK’d to a bunch of level 30 defenders. Gave me a chance to try out Taunt. Discussed Avo’s big mish, Kill Atta, while killing Atta again with Roben (levelled again on this one). Then I went out and bought Roben’s first bunch of 20 DO’s. Lots o’ influence spent.
After that, brought out Zazi.
For the most part Zazi has been able to solo every mission so far. Take a healthy supply of CaB’s and she’s good to go. But last night taught me that this may soon come to an end in regards to one type of foe. Zazi got the mission of “go clean out the Tsoo tattoo parlor”. Easy for the first part of the door mission, until she came across the first sorcerer. Three deaths later and I finally came up with a way to deal with them, It meant leaving the mission and restocking up in insperations everytime I killed one of them. Slow but it worked.
I hate Tsoo.
One funny observation though. I was fighting them and some of them have Bows. While fighting them I was sitting there thinking “Hey…they’re using bows in melee, I should be getting attacks of opportunity here”. Yep, just your average cross gaming system random thought.
I’m getting frustrated by the low availability of DO Enhancements. I bought a bunch of 15s as soon as I was eligible. When I hit level 18, I naturally tried to combine them with shiny new 20s. Unfortunately, only one of them was available at either Pandora’s Box location! It’s disheartening to go to the Manage Enhancement screen and see a smattering of yellow 15s in a sea of green 20+ Enhancements.
Does anybody know how often the stock changes at these stores? I know it’s not daily, because I checked two days in a row. Weekly? Randomly? Inquiring minds want to know!
Really…how odd.
Everytime I’ve been in to sell ones that I’ve recieved/been given, the store is as stocked on DO’s and SO’s as they are on the training enhancements.
Haven’t noticed any gaps in the stock, either.
Maybe you shop at the unreliable AT shops … 🙂

Yup. More mobs. Same (albeit levelling) XP.
By the by, the name “Mrs. Thunderclap” is evidently too long for the system. (Had no idea the naming conventions were so short.) Margie had to drop the “.”
Dave, are you using the super-cool Flight toggle keybind from Doyce’s Wiki? It’s great for searching zones for bad guys, and also for fleeing in stark terror.

Hmm… Here’s another one that will turn off Sprint, then toggle between Hover and Fly!

I loaded up the latter one, Avo, last night, and used it to decent effect with Psi-clone (bound to “\”). I need to learn to maneuver flying in closed spaces better, but it worked well.
