CoX – Game play report

So I did end up doing some CoX playing over the past few days, getting some good time in with Lady Zebra, Woe Nellie, and Miss Crackle.

I also took up Arty’s invitation to join up with the Repeat Offenders global group — consist of a global channel and a bunch of SGs in coalition spreading across the Hero and Villain side of Freedom and Virtue. I had mixed luck with actually leveraging Lady Zebra getting into one of the alt RO SGs and from there actually getting gameplay with the group — but I did end up with lots of time with Woe Nellie playing alongside Arty and some of his other cohorts, which was kind of fun.

I also spent $10 and transferred Miss Crackle over from Victory to Freedom, just because things have been serously dead on the former server for PUGging. And I then had a great time in two different groups for the next few hours, which probably means it was a worthwhile investment.

Overall, good times. But I’m looking forward to duoing with my favorite gaming partner real soon now.

  1. Sorry you had trouble getting a team with Lady Zebra . . .where is she located? We also have a lot of scheduled events that take member’s play time, so we may have a bunch on the channel, but not answering due to “Can’t talk now. . . fighting!” syndrome.
It was a blast getting to play with you, and Woe Nellie is a fantastic name, btw!
My latest CoX victory: getting the name Council Engineer on my new Bots/Traps MM with a Council theme . .. w00t! Now I need to load his binds and get him rolling.

  2. She’s on Virtue, currently hanging out on (but close to outleveling) Talos.
I’m also a bit out of practice, and skittish about, channel stuff. Esp. since it was taking me a while to decipher the tags people were including in the channel discussion.
(Btw, your global is set hidden. At least, you continued to show up as gray even after we exchanged globals.)
Woe Nellie was a name I came up with and immediately put a placeholder out there for when I might get around to doing something with her. I’ve got a Villain named that somewhere, too. And I’ll run an Illusion Controller at the drop of a hat.
That all said, I will likely be an intermittent attendee at best, since my gameplay is sporadic these days, and I have a couple weeks of duoing with my Better Half to catch up on. But I very much appreciate the hospitality, and look forward to doing it again.
Getting “Council Engineer” is just amazing. Well done.

  3. Feel free to come out WITH your better half, too! We have a number of members who start with Duos with their wives and use those to build teams.
I’ll have to check my Global, I don’t recall setting it to /Hide . . .ever, sooooo . . .hmmmm.
Getting those fun names is a kind of rush, isn’t it?
