A different kind of snack. It would probably work with a variety of nuts.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 lb whole walnuts
- 3 Tab butter
- 1 Tab light brown sugar
- Kosher salt
- 2 tsp curry powder, or to taste
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375° .
- Spread walnuts in a single layer on a small baking sheet.
- Bake until hot, lightly browned and fragrant, 8 to 10 minutes.
- Remove walnuts from the oven.
- While still hot, toss on the baking sheet with butter, sugar, salt, curry powder, cinnamon and cayenne.
- Taste and adjust seasonings to your liking.
- Serve warm.
Serves: about 2 cups
