A good frosting, especially at Christmas when you can buy eggnog.
Frosting Ingredients:
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 4 oz salted butter, softened
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (or rum extract or spiced rum)
- 1/4 c eggnog
- 2 1/2 c powdered sugar
Frosting Directions:
- Mix softened cream cheese and butter together.
- Whip in vanilla extract.
- Add half of the eggnog and powdered sugar and mix until blended. Slowly add the remaining eggnog and powdered sugar and mix until combined.
- Spread on cooled cookies.
Serves: Makes enough for approximately 5 dozen small cookies
