“I believe the secret ingredient to North Wood’s Inn buttermilk salad dressing is Lawry’s season salt and a little Worcestershire mixed in this recipe…oh and a little cottage cheese for texture…if you recall the blue cheese taste in their recipe is quite mild with very little garlic. Ingredients:
- 1 c buttermilk
- 1 c sour cream
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 Tab sweet Hungarian paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1⁄4 tsp sugar
- 1⁄3 c crumbled blue cheese
Directions:
- In a food processor or heavy-duty blender, combine buttermilk, sour cream, garlic, sugar, paprika, and salt.
- Blend until smooth.
- Add blue cheese and pulse quickly once or twice. Do not blend. You want small chunks of blue cheese.
- Refrigerate for 4 hours or more before serving to let flavors blend.
Serves: 4-8
