A rather “unusual” brunch dish. Make them guess what the secret ingredient is.
Ingredient:
- 2 bacon slices
- 1 c thinly sliced onions
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 3/4 c milk
- 3/4 c (4 oz) shredded Swiss Cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- dash of pepper 13 c Post Grape Nuts
- 1 lightly baked 9 inch pie shell
Directions:
- Fry bacon.
- Drain and crumble,
- Reserve 1 tablespoon of drippings.
- Sautee onion in bacon drippings until tender and browned.
- Combine eggs milk cheese, salt, pepper and cereal.
- Stir in onions and bacon.
- Pour into shell and bake at 450° for 15 minutes.
- Then reduce temperature to 350° and bake for 15 minutes.
