1. Do less than $1MM in online sales a year, you're exempt. Hardly onerous on little mom-pop sales order shops.
2. The provisions for states to give retailers the ability to calculate the tax and centralize tax payments makes this close to a no-brainer for online retailers.
3. Do I show room at Best Buy? I've been known to. But you know what — sales tax is rarely the deciding factor. Amazon and other online sources often beat the prices I'm seeing on the shelf. This isn't going to change that.
