On the “lose some” side of the equation, I appear to have lost my company credit card, which I use for travel, company-related purchases … and, oh, yeah, buying stuff at CostCo (which is always annoying). I noticed it was not in my wallet as I left the parking garage last night at the airport. All called in, cancelled, replacement on the way, but … annoying.

On the “win some,” I got pulled over by the Highway Patrol on the way in today. Not ticketed, just “slowed down.” My conscience is clean and shriven on this one, as (a) his accusation that I was going 75 in a 65 zone was untrue, since I had cruise control on and know that I was going no more than 73, but (b) his accusation that I was “pushing traffic” and “passing on the right” was accurate and just, but since (c) I didn’t get cited, only delayed, that all seems right and fitting and good, and I didn’t even have to bat my eyelashes and use a southern accent.
