1. Charlie Chaplin or Buster Keaton?
To be honest, neither is my cuppa. I’m marginally more familiar with Chaplin than Keaton.
2. Laurel & Hardy or Abbott & Costello?
Abbott & Costello.
3. Marx Brothers or Three Stooges?
Definitely the Marx Bros. I’ve never quite understood the appeal of the Stooges, though I can nyuck-nyuck-nyuck with the best of ’em.
4. David Letterman or Jay Leno?
Don’t watch Late Night TV (at least not those shows). Give me Steve Allen.
5. “Saturday Night Live” or “Mad TV”?
Mad TV. There have been some fine seasons on SNL, but even at their best, every other skit fell flat.
6. Adam Sandler (“Mr. Deeds”) or Mike Myers (“Austin Powers”)?
Shoot me now.
If forced to pick, Myers.
7. Jerry Seinfeld or Ray Romano (“Everybody Loves Raymond”)?
Never watched Raymond. The few times I’ve watched Seinfeld I’ve not been very amused. Bleah.
8. George Carlin or Bill Cosby?
The early Cosby is hilarious. He’s gotten insufferable over the years. Carlin is just old, but his “angry humor” has some fine moments. I’ll go for the early Cosby. If offered tickers for a show today, I’d go with Carlin.
9. “Monty Python’s Flying Circus” or “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In”?

No question about it. MP rocks.
10. Gone but not forgotten…John Belushi or Chris Farley?
Farley was a second-rate comedian, IMO. Belushi any day. Though if we’re picking folks from that, er, class, I’d take John Candy.
