Friday
Look at upholstery fabric for the couch and family room chair (since the former’s is ripping apart only a couple of years after we bought it, and the latter has needed it for a decade or more). Fabric place where Margie spotted extremely cheap fabric was closed. Instead, we told Jim to go ahead and purchase what we spotted at the shop in California.
Oriental Adventures at Casa de Us. Fun, meet all. Shishiko kicked butt (or cut it up nicely), even though Doyce later ruled that the entire party loses Honor every game that Shishiko is around. Sniff.
Possible interlude to watch Farscape. It remains, unwatched. Oops. Forgot to tape Nero Wolfe, too. Damn.
Saturday
Since no game stuff (too many cancellations), perhaps the zoo, perhaps some post hole digging, maybe some vicarious tree planting, maybe some weed spraying and other yard stuff, maybe some house cleaning. Make that “only the zoo,” which is becoming a much more interesting place for Katherine. Segue to an early bed time for Kitten and a nice snuggle on the couch to watch True Lies for us.
Sunday
Normal churchy stuff.
More house cleaning. Lots of house cleaning. Lots of “Margie realizes Al is coming to see the house for the first time” sort of cleaning. Huge stacks of boxes in the dining room magically vanish. Yay, us!
Margie’s family friend Al is coming to down. Show him the house he’s heard so much of (see above entry), go out for dinner. Toured house, garnered suggestions about a beam, went to the Rock Bottom for dinner (yum), slurped coffee, bade farewell, and off to bed.
