At the risk of sounding repetitious, I resolve to lose weight this year.
I did not lose weight last year, resolutions aside. I might have been a bit lower before Thanksgiving hit, but December was an utter disaster.
Rediscovering the joy of chili cheese fries didn’t help.
So. I will lose weight this year.
At least, as soon as we leave Faerie. Da mini castitatem et continentiam sed noli modo. And on that note …
Look into the “Fat Fallacy” diet, my wife and I’ve been doing it for the last five months and it works. Best part: you get to eat food you like.

Dave, Like going to the UK is going to help. English Breakfest’s (The one meal they do right), all of the food from their former Colonies (Chicken vindalu, Tandori anything), Wonderful Chinese, and of course Fish and Chips served in News Paper!
Well, everyone know that calories consumed during a vacation don’t count.
And I’ll reduce the impact by eschewing the fried tomatoes …
Hmmm. The “Fat Fallacy” thing looks interesting, but the site is short on specifics. I’ll have to do a bit more digging when I’ve got a moment.
*Sigh*. You and me both. Hence, the 500 mile walk to nowhere. Calories in matter, but so do calories out.
I do try to walk at lunch at work, and eat relatively healthy lunches. It’s the evenings, and the weekends, and the holidays that do me in. That, and an utter lack of discipline when it comes to exercise. (I admire your 500 mile walk to nowhere very much.)
