Just when you thought that the GOP got it, Dubbya nominated Judge Pickering again.
I wonder if Lott is going to vote for him or not?
Well, if the GOP leadership was not convinced that Pickering is unfit for the bench, I’m not terribly surprised.
I just kind of thought that they would have wanted to stay away from anything where the words/phrases “dixiecrat”, “segregationist”, and “friend-of-Trent-Lott” could be used, thats all.
