His gall is legendary. With a long history of thumbing his nose as his neighbors, and sending his troops overseas on various intervening ventures, and now still supported by toadying celebrities and “intellectuals,” he’s used the Iraq War as a distracting smoke screen to cover up ever-growing civil rights abuses and crushing of dissent.
Citizens have been warned repeatedly that to disagree with him and his cronies is a sign of disloyalty to the entire nation. Dozens of human rights activists have been tossed in prison — or simply gone missing, just for speaking out, or protesting his tyranny in print.
Independent journalists, too, are subject to arbitrary detention, trumped-up (or undefined) charges, and imprisonment for decades — or maybe forever.
Funny thing is, Michael Moore doesn’t seem to be making speeches (or movies) about him.
