I’m not sure what it would accomplish, but I like the Open Bar thing, as, I suspect, does everyone else. Andrew Sullivan would likely be able to afford to support it. I’d just hope they’d set the bar a bit lower than “a few thousand readers.”

Thousands of readers? There we go, both you and me.
Open bar? We have that already – we go, have aprties and people invite us because we blog. And no dues (other than a mention).

What’s the point of having an open forum if you are going to give it away to authority figures, the likes of which you don’t respect, in the first place?
