I’m not sure what it would accomplish, but I like the Open Bar thing, as, I suspect, does everyone else. Andrew Sullivan would likely be able to afford to support it. I’d just hope they’d set the bar a bit lower than “a few thousand readers.”

    Thousands of readers? There we go, both you and me.

    What’s the point of having an open forum if you are going to give it away to authority figures, the likes of which you don’t respect, in the first place?
