Marn is one of my favorite blog reads, and she’s running for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Run For The Cure on October 5, in Toronto. Go sponsor her. She’s well on her way to $1,000 in sponsorships (and we haven’t the heart to tell her that’s only $35.47 in US money), so go lend her some support. It’s for a good cause, and a good person (and it means you can put up a clever button like the one on the right). What more could you ask for from a charitable contribution?

  1. Toronto? TORONTO???!!!!

Off to the bathroom with you and wash your mouth out with soap right this minute, Mister. 😉

I’m running in Montreal. Since time immemorial there has been a fierce rivalry between these two cities, including hockey (Go Habs! Booooo Leafs!).

Those of us who live in Québec know that Montreal is a wonderful, debonaire, polyglot city that knows how to live. Toronto is a souless, uptight, money-obsessed megalopolis.

And that would be on its GOOD days.

Toronto. I … I … I must go and lie down. I feel an acute attack of the vapours coming on.

  2. Where are my manners? *Insert sound of middle-aged woman rummaging in drawers, looking under beds, behind the fridge*. There. Found them.

***Dave, thank you for your generosity. There are many worthwhile charities out there and I’m touched that you’ve supported this one that’s so close to my heart.

It’s an honour to be listed there in your favourite reads. I guess this is a mutual admiration society because you’re one of mine–it’s refreshing to get to glimpses into someone who’s so obviously in a happy place in their life.
