The Rockies Brewing Company (RBC) “Hazed & Infused” ale was considered by all who dared take a sip after the first person to be the worst beer we’d all tasted in some time.
Their description:
This unfiltered dry-hopped ale … “hazed” in its natural state … “infused” with Crystal and Centennial hops … flavorful aromatic brew … you have to taste to believe …
Our description:
Oh my God … agh, what is this? … bitter, alcholic, and generally nasty-tasting … ack, that’s awful … okay, now I’ve got to take a sip, because it can’t be that bad … oh, ick … hell, I bought a whole six-pack of it …
YMMV, of course.
I should also note that the Blue Moon Pumpkin Ale had very little pumpkin or spice flavor to it, though it was okay for all that.
YMMV my a$$. It had a horrible after-taste, but at least it was nasty on the way down. Ick.
And yes, the Pumpkin Ale was less than thrilling. You really had to search your palatte to find pumpkin-ness.
Can’t fault them for truth in advertising. They just didn’t tell you that it was full of an unsavoury flavour.
