Heck, I’ll admit it with pride! We DO get two kinds of candy. Only we get the “good stuff” for our friends’ kids, and then eat the leftovers. Though I often break down and give some of the good stuff to especially polite children. The teenagers should be grateful I give them anything.

One of the many perks of living in the boondocks (Elbert County) is that I don’t get a lot of trick-or-treaters. Last year it was maybe 6. So I only get the good stuff and end up with LOTS of leftovers. Yum. I really want to try a deep fried Snickers.

#Trump cares nothing about the hoi polloi, even if he supposedly depends on their support and worship. Picnics? Fishing? Enjoying cherry blossoms? Insignificant against being able to create a #golfcourse for him and his cronies.

It is a wild cop-out for Evangelical GOPers like #MikeJohnson to recast #Matthew25 as solely an individual call to care for the poor. If legislation has nothing to do with individual moral decisions, why do Johnson and his cohort pray together before big votes?

Actions one takes as a political leader, or a business leader, or in a voting booth, or in any group setting, are still *individual* actions, with an inevitable moral dimension. Denying that is wrong.

It occurs to me that if opposing #LGBTQ rights or expressions or events is a religious thing that must be afforded full #FirstAmendment protection, then the reverse (favoring such things) must be true as well.

I admit I've been a bit surprised that the holiday hasn't been a more active target by the history-rewriting #TrumpRegime (who believe that *dictating* history is an important way to *control* the future).
