… that Colorado is not always at the foremost fringe on some political issues, the Musgrave Amendment, a US constitutional amendment banning gay marriage introduced by a Colorado Representative, is DOA in the Colorado statehouse.
Granted, we do have a state constitutional provision defining marriage as one-man-one-woman. But at least they don’t want to enshrine it in the US Constitution.

Yes — I’m sure Andrews would have pulled out all fulminating stops to get it through there.
Of course, as far as I can see — there’s no actual formal vote as of yet. And won’t be, until it passes at the Federal level. Unless someone was trying to put forward a general endorsement of the thing.
I think it’s just a political thing to get people on record one way or the other for the elections in the fall.
