I like ceramic goblets, which has turned into a minor collecting hobby for me whilst on vacation. So I was particularly annoyed when, last night, I carefully set down my favorite goblet (picked up in Britain two trips back) on the edge of the counter, then knocked it over as I withdrew my hand.
Ah, well. At least it wasn’t Jackie breaking off the handle of another coffee cup. It’s been a bad month for ceramics in our house …
So…Do you have a matched pair yet (refering to the broken stem one that Doyce prefers)?
Well, I’m down to two in regular rotation. I have another one that I may dig out now, but I’m worried about how tall the stem is (and, hence, it’s casual stability). We’ll see.
Well…
This does give people something to buy for you as little gifts…you know like shot glasses and such.
The one that took a tumble last night in out of the rotation forever. Dave managed to break it but good.
Ah, yes, I see that I wasn’t clear. This wasn’t a “Chip” kind of ding on the thing. We’re talking “potsherds” kind of damage.
