Ever since we jumped the Subaru a ways back in order to get it running, the Sienna’s been having turn-over problems, to the point where, when Margie left, she suggested I get service scheduled for it and not drive it until then, because it had, maybe, one turn-over left in it.
You know where I’m going with this.
So this a.m., I decided I would wait until the Stevinson’s service bay was open to drive in. And, of course, the car wouldn’t turn over (though it did make a wonderful rapid clicking sound). So we jumped it with Subaru (no doubt perpetuating the cycle of battery abuse), and I drove it in, and, yes, they confirmed it’s likely the battery.
And, in so doing, noted that, while I was going to bring it in for a regular tune this week, too (since that’s what the little sticker said), in fact it was just a few thousand miles short of its Big Spanking Expensive Sixty Thousand Mile Replace Everything But The Timing Belt service. So, what the heck, I’ll tell them to do that, too. Not like I was planning on spending that money on anything else, right?
Sounds like alternator/solenoid problems.
Easy too fix on most cars, and shouldn’t set you back more than $200 for parts and labor.
