IBM, bizarrely enough, doesn’t seem to keep track of invoice info in their spiffy computerized system beyond 13 months. After that, they expect *you* to provide *them* with “proof of purchase” for warranty service and replacement. Bizarre.
Not helped by changes in local IT mangaement, corporate procurement organization, etc., since 11/02-1/03, when this machine was ordered and brought into my possession.
Finally found the info, on our end, at COB today. Yay. Fax it off tomorrow.
