So my new computer has Bluetooth capabilities.
Any suggestions as to what I might actually want to do with Bluetooth on my PC?

Depends on what kind of phone you have. If you’re with a gsm carrier & have a phone with decent Bluetooth, you could sync the calendar on phone with calendar on computer, send smses from computer over the phone’s network, send pictures from phone to PC… etc. You could always go with the Bluetooth peripherals (keyboard, mouse, printer, etc.).
My phone doesn’t do Bluetooth, or a camera (and I really don’t want to carry my calendar on it, at least until I have a much more intelligent phone). I also don’t SMS …
I use the notebook keyboard (and have every intent of continuing to do so). I could see doing a mouse, though.
A co-worker suggested Bluetooth headphones to listen to music with. I could see that.
You could turn it off to conserve power and increase security. Until a compelling need for it arises, that is.
Now that sounds like a fine idea. 🙂
