FRIDAY
- Spent the afternoon with Kitten, running errands and going to the park. Margie, suffering from a tummy problem, stayed home, alas.
- Went to sleep at the ungodly (early) hour of 10 or so. Woo-hoo! Party central!
SATURDAY
- Flipped the switch on TypeKey registration here, and immediately discovered I had some template hiccups regarding it (and that I had to run off to swim class for Katherine, delaying solving them until later).
- Various and sundry errands, many of which had to do with gas grill shopping and redefinition of “how much money do we actually want to spend on this, and how urgent is a rotisserie?” Think we know what we want, but need to figure out the most efficient way of getting it.
- Synapse Task Force in CoH, after Kitten was down to bed. Which made for a very, very late night. Margie did the main planning for this, excelling as always.
SUNDAY
- Normal churchgoing stuff. Special celebration for Merrie’s ministry at our church, in anticipation of her departure (and our new rector’s arrival) in a few weeks. Though her tenure had some, ah, rough spots (some of which weren’t her doing, some of which were), and while I could have hoped for a more active leadership (though I can see why an interim might not be), I like Merrie a lot and will miss her.
- Major kitchen clean-up, as well as the family room.
- Game prep, followed by yet another installment of my IDC spy RPG. Things went slowly, both for the normal reasons of chit-chat (amplified by folks not having gotten together for a few weeks) and because the group is in a transition point in the plot — some things can’t “happen” until other things finish. I’m also a tad rusty in areas, and need to abstract some stuff out more. Anyhow, I suspect I neglected some players in favor of others. Bleah.
- The game ended a scosh early so that Margie and I could get online for our “interview” with the CoH Alliance of Champions leadership, with the intent of bringing the Consortium of Justice under their umbrella. After a rocky start due to serious lagging and choppiness, the rest of the interview went smoothly — good question asked and (I hope) good answers given. Hope to hear back soon, and already considering how to structure the forum for our section …
- Ate some dinner, played a bit more CoH with Margie, did the write-up of the Synapse task force, and went to bed at a … well, “reasonable hour” has changed in definition of late, so let’s just say that I’m not doing too badly for a Monday morning and leave it at that …
