Hard to believe this is Katherine’s last full week of Summer Vacation. This Friday we meet with her teacher, Mrs. Stork, to discuss First Grade (!), and next Thursday she begins.

I will be kind of glad to be back out of the job of picking her up every day (though there will still be some of that, if last year is any indicator). And it will also be nice, I confess, to have her eating lunch at the cafeteria again. I appreciate more and more my mom making lunch for John and me every day for umpteen years …
