- It is amusing that e-mail shows up on my Blackberry faster than it does in my online Outlook.
- It is disconcerting that when I press the “off” button (hang up) the screen does not go dark (like it did in the Treo). Indeed, the “off” button actually just pulls the screen to the home page; the BB shuts off the screen after a defined period of time.
- It’s still freaking annoying that the phone came with no case, that I could not yet easily find cases, and that shipping takes so freaking long. 😛

Your company most likely has set up a Blackberry Exchange Server, which accounts for the difference in email times.
Have you checked out the movie capability? If you’ve got one of the 8800s (and a bunch of the other new models), it’s got a place for a micro-SD card right next to where the SIM goes. A couple of the more tech savvy users here watch movies during particularly boring (and large) meetings.
I have a 2Gb MicroSD card, already installed (the Curve has it, though in an asinine location *behind* the battery).
Hadn’t thought about watching movies. Might have to remember that on long flights. During meetings … well, when do you think I get my blogging done?
