“A shining city on a hill”

I can’t tell you how proud it made me to be an American last night, as I listened to an interview with a Pervez Musharraf advisor and apologist, who cited US government actions post-9/11 (indefinite detentions, wiretapping, avoiding judicial approval for activities, etc) as inspirations and justifications for Musharraf’s power-grab in Pakistan over the past week.

Way to be a world leader, George!
