Well, I haven’t read Hellboy from end to end as I’m sure you have. I agree with you that this isn’t pure-D classic Hellboy. Nevertheless, when I watched it again, I said WOO!
I do agree there’s plenty of WOO going on there. But it will be hard to beat classic ex-Nazi crypto-sorcerers summoning Lovecraftian horrors. I mean, that’s always a hard act to follow.
